Thomas Pellegrin, Senior Director of Consulting Department at International Air Transport Association (IATA), along with colleagues, visited the company. WANG Yongning, General Manager of AVIC AIC, and experts and managers from the Overseas Affairs Department, Airport Design Institute, Civil Architecture Design Institute, and Innovative Development Center of Terminals and Airports attended the meeting.
Wang Yongning introduced the company's business in civil aviation operations at home and abroad, and discussed the possibility of complementary cooperation with IATA in international projects such as Male Velana International Airport in Maldives and New Phnom Penh International Airport in Cambodia.
Thomas Pellegrin, Senior Manager Mr. Lian Zhang, and Director of North Asia District Mr. Li Sai, presented the business scope of IATA, and illustrated IATA's technical advantages in optimizing airport operating efficiency and forecasting passenger traffic with real cases.
The two sides also exchanged views on AVIC AIC's participation in the development of the International Standard for Airport Development Reference Manual (ADRM), joint participation in the engineering design of international airports, overseas aviation city planning, airport traffic forecasting, simulation and other aspects of cooperation. It was agreed that the two companies complement each other in branding and comprehensive capabilities, and can further explore future strategic partnership.
This meeting facilitates the company in exploring the international market, and sets the basis for speaking up for China in international organizations and international standard-settings.
