In recent years, China has achieved remarkable results in international cooperation in the field of general aviation, which has led to a great increase in the scale of international cooperation in the country's aviation industry, and promoted regional economic restructuring and industrial transformation and upgrading.
In 2019, projects such as Foreign Aid to Mozambique Xia-Xia Airport and New Phnom Penh International Airport in Cambodia, have displayed the role of AVIC AIC in international cooperation , and opened a new chapter to AVIC’s international cooperation.
In 2018, with the joint efforts of the Architecture Design Institute and Airport Design Institute of AVIC AIC, the company won the bid of Engineering Design and Project Management for China aid to Mozambique Xia-Xia Airport Project. A year later, in 2019, the company won the bid for New Phnom Penh International Airport Project in Cambodia.
The project marks a breakthrough of Chinese airport construction enterprises using international standards for the whole process of consulting services in the field of 4F-class overseas capital airport construction.
WANG Yongning, general manager of AVIC AIC, said that in the future, the company will continue to open up domestic and foreign civil aviation markets, actively explore diversified models of overseas project development, and through years of accumulated experience, bring in to full play the advantages of full value industry chain based on the characteristics of airport business.
With the development of international cooperation projects, China's aviation industry cooperation strategy has been gradually improved. In recent years, China's civil aviation market has developed rapidly, providing favorable conditions for global cooperation in the aviation industry.
In the course of cooperation, Boeing 737 Completion Center and a series of other projects were completed, which has enhanced the level of industrial concentration in the project’s location, leading deep integration and development of China's aviation enterprises. Moreover, the import and export trade has also developed, seizing the commanding heights of economy, which has led to great improvement in the comprehensive strength of enterprises.
In addition to China Aid projects of airport construction, the cooperation between foreign aviation industry manufacturers and China's aviation industry has contributed greatly to technology progress and management level of China's aviation industry. Professional technical teams have been set up, a large number of technical backbone and management personnel have been trained, and the quality of the entire staff have been improved.
WANG Yongning pointed out that meanwhile airport construction has made certain achievements, organizational vitality should be released, and the development of overseas markets should be accelerated. The planning and construction of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei airport circle, Yangtze River Delta, and Guangdong-Hong kong-Macao Greater Bay Area airport circle and other hot spots, as well as The Xiong'an New Area, all closely follow the country’s pace in promotion of the Free Trade Zone, and contribute to China's high-quality development.
